Established in 2002, Rib-It is one of the longest running Rib Charter operators on the south coast. Our ethos has always been to be small enough to care passionately about every job but big enough to be reliable. We think that we get the balance just right.
Rib-It provides Rib charter services to a wide range of loyal customers across the industry and to both corporate and private clients. We offer Rib charter services for corporate events, bareboat Rib charter, private charter and commercial Rib charter.
Rib-It has always been based in Lymington Yacht haven marina which is perfectly located for Rib charter in the Solent’s most popular areas. Although many customers prefer Lymington, we are just as happy when operating out of Southampton, Portsmouth, Cowes, Beaulieu or Yarmouth. For skippered charters, there is no difference in price wherever we start or finish.
Lymington is a Georgian market town on the edge of the New Forest, surrounded by beautiful Countryside. Lymington River puts us right into the western Solent with Cowes, Beaulieu, Yarmouth, Hurst Castle, The Needles, Alum Bay and Colwell Bay nearby.
We are lucky to have started our business in Lymington Yacht Haven marina. The marina is fantastically managed and has amazing facilities, not least acres of free parking. Recently awarded ‘best marina in the UK’ we are very proud of our long association.
The Haven Bar and Bistro is another really important asset to us. The Haven is on the first floor of the main marina office and it is this elevated position and the panoramic waterfront views that makes the venue so attractive.
Rib-It was founded by Simon Nuding, a Rib enthusiast with a lifetime of boating experience. Simon is still closely involved with the company although in 2013 he sold it to Solent Rib Charters Ltd with whom Rib-It enjoys a fantastic corporate ‘fit’.
We are very proud of Simon and it speaks volumes that he was chosen to work in Bermuda with Ben Ainslie Racing heading up the Rib team supporting Sir Ben’s British entry for the America’s Cup 2017.
